Dancing flame Solar Lantern Outdoor Lights

Ordered two on a Tuesday, they showed up in nine days which was faster than I expected for the price. Hung one over the patio table and one by the back door. My husband asked twice if they were real candles. They come on by themselves when it gets dark and I've never touched them since.

Good product, honest listing. The photos on the site look about right, they're not brighter in the pictures than in real life which is rare. Docking a star because the one I hung in full shade barely charges. My fault, not theirs, but worth knowing.

They're lovely and the flame effect is genuinely convincing from a few feet away. Up close you can tell it's an LED, which is fine, I just want people to know. Charge lasts me about eight hours on a good sunny day, less in November. Would buy again.

Got these for my mother's birthday. She's 74 and not technical and she was worried there'd be something to set up. There isn't. You take it out of the box and put it somewhere sunny. She's sent me three photos of them.

Listing said a full sunny day gives a full night. That's about right in my experience, maybe slightly better. Rare to find a number on a product page that turns out to be honest rather than optimistic.

Switch is on the underside and it's small. Fine once you know, but I spent a minute turning the thing over in the dark the first night. A raised marking would help.

Rope looks and feels like proper rope, which I like. It has frayed a little where it rubs the hook though. Not failing, just fraying. Would rather know that up front than find out
